Larry Bell was a friend to many riders in the Prescott area for many years. As part of our original Yavapai HOG group, he joined most of our rides, led many of them, and was always willing to do whatever was needed to help out. While his work in Saudi Arabia took him away from time to time, he cherished his time here where he could get on his motorcycle and ride. He hated drama, and loved riding. Larry and I took many long rides together, including both a Saddle Sore (1000 miles/24 hours) and a Bun Burner (1500 miles/36 hours) certified Iron Butt rides.
He rode his classic springer, the 1995 Bad Boy, for many years until he finally bought his 2022 Road Glide Special from Arrowhead Harley-Davidson. He loved that bike, in fact a quote after a solo ride to Carlsbad Caverns was "the more I ride this bike, the more I love it!"
We lost Larry in August 2023 to a complication following a simple surgery. Though he is physically gone, his spirit lives on with us, as his long-time motto was "I Just Wanna Ride."
